29th September 2011: Murphy has found a great new home!

12th December 2010: We were at the international Show in Kassel: at her first start in the youth class Paula got an "excellent" :-) ... more info under Paulas (Arwen of JJ's Magic Garden) page

31st October 2010: We were at the International Show in Hannover: Paula gota "very promising", first place in the puppy class and got the fourth place with a "very good" in the open class

18th July 2010: Today we visited Meilo in Porta Westfalica and also Ronny near Braunschweig. We made lots of photos, which can be found in the web album "A"-Litter Photoalbum - (please CLICK HERE to get to the album)

1st March 2010, 05:43am until 09:23am: Today Kira gave birth to 2 girls and 5 boys. Please CLICK HERE to get to the "A"-Litter.

28th Febuary 2010, 09:00am: This morning at 07:00am Kiras temperature dropped to 37.0°C which is an indication that the birth will start within the next 24 hours.

26th Febuary 2010, 10:00am: Nothing much has happended yet but the birth could start any time now. Yesterday Kira weighed respectable 28 kilos, which is a gain of about 6 or 7 kg compared to her normal weight!

9th Febuary 2010: Kira is starting to look really pregnant, she has now gained 1,8 kilos since January the 21st. There are only just over two weeks left and the time is racing. The whelping box is finished and the whelping room (the dining area of our kitchen) is ready. Kira has already slept in the box and seems to like it. :-)

21st January 2010: Great news! We were at the vets to see if Kira is pregnant. On the ultrasound we could see at least 5 little embryos. Their birthday will be around the 25th Febuary!

29th December 2009: Kira and Butler mated the day before yesterday on 27th December. If everything works out, the puppies will be born at the end of Febuary.

9th December 2009: Kira came into heat today: that means that we will be visiting the groom, Butler, just befor Chrismas. If everything goes according to plan, the litter will be born at the end of Febuary 2010 Klick here for details about the planned litter

30th August 2009: The result of the gene test for Progressive Retinal Atrophy (prcd-PRA Test) arrived today from Optigen: Her Genotype is "normal", so Kira is no carrier of PRA

24th August 2009: The result of the gene test for Collie Eye Anomaly /Choroidal Hypoplasia (CEA/CH) arrived today from Optigen: Her Genotype is "normal", so Kira is no carrier of CEA

1st August 2009: Today we were at the International Rassehundeausstellung in Bremen: We managed to get the second place in the class "open bitch". Score "Excellent" and Reserve Anwartschaft for German champion. We are very proud! The judges report can be found here Kira

25th May 2009: We have just go back form the vets where we had Kira examined with ultrasound: Unfortunately she isn't pregnant. We are planning the next litter for Febuary/March 2010.

26th April 2009: Great News! Kira and Butler mated today. Now we just need to wait and keep our fingers crossed. In about three weeks we will know more.

31st March 2009: Today we received the result of the MDR1 genetic test (Link: Information about the MDR1 defect). The result is "n/n" which means that everything is ok: Kira is no carrier.

30th March 2009: This year we are plannng a litter from the mating of our Kira (Cross Country's Jakira Chiara) with Butler (Bullaburra Hide and Seek) - LINK
