Dairy of the Litter

12th April 2010:
Today we had an appointment with the vet, specialised in eye examinations in Oerzen near Lueneburg. All puppies are clear of eye diseases. The drive took 30 minutes and all puppies did very well. Driving there there was some howling but on the return journey all puppies were relaxed and slept after all the excitement.

10th April 2010:
On Thursday the puppies were chipped: five didnt feel anything and two squeeked a little, but the fright was soon forgotten :-) On Monday the little ones will experience their first longer drive (30 minutes there - 30 minutes back) for the eye examination in Oerzen near Lueneburg.

28th March 2010:
All are doing very well and the little ones have now nearly all topped the 2000g mark.
They have been outside for the first time and have experienced their first thunderstorm.

14th March 2010:
The eyes of all the puppies are now open (more or less) and the "little ones" weigh at least 1000g.
Yesterday they were dewormed for the first time.

11th March 2010:
This moning the first-born black tri girl opened her eyes.
Every puppy has now more than twice the weight it had at birth.

8th March 2010:
The puppies are now one week old.. how quickly time passes! Mum and babies are doing great! :-)

4th March 2010
Kira and her puppies are doing great and the puppies are gaining weight nicely, and it must be said that the girls are gaining the most!

On 1st March 2010 between 05:43am and pm and 09:23am our Kira - Jakira Chiara CHR - (please click HERE to go to her page) gave bith to 5 boys and 2 girls. The sire of the puppies is Butler - Bullaburra Hide and Seek- (Here is a LINK to get to the website of Butlers owner).
Butler is a very typical Aussie: He shows great character, learn quickly and has a huge will to please: He likes to do what is asked of him. This is evident in that he not only has done various dutch obedience tests, but also does a broad spectrum of canine sports: he loves obedience, agility und likes to play - like our Kira - frisbee.
He is from a genetically very clean line hand has the best hip (HD) and elbow (ED) scores, is no carrier of the MDR1-defect nor CEA, is free of PRA und HSF4 cataract. He has a long tail. .
